Stripe, LLC. is seeking a highly skilled Tax Systems Engineer in California to design and implement complex tax-related financial systems, including integration with homegrown tax solutions and Oracle Cloud applications.

The role emphasizes automating tax processes, leading large-scale finance projects, and ensuring SOX controls while collaborating with engineering and tax teams globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, Finance or related field with 8+ years of tax systems experience.
• 8 years building finance/compliance products at global scale.
• Experience with Sabrix, Vertex, Oracle EBTax and Fusion Cloud Tax.
• Reporting development using SQL, PL/SQL, or BI Publisher.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Tax team to design and implement tax-related financial systems.
• Automate tax processes, drive SOX controls, and support tool transformations.
• Lead Tax applications projects from requirements to go-live.
• Serve as a technology liaison with Tax stakeholders to improve processes.
• Develop and maintain tax data flows and system integrations.
