Job summary

Stripe seeks a Specialist Solutions Architect focusing on Stripe Tax to partner with sales and pre-sales teams, accelerating opportunities and shaping the product roadmap.

You will build relationships with senior customer leaders, translate complex indirect tax needs into scalable architectures, and create reusable assets to uplift the broader organization. You will collaborate with engineering and tax product teams to ensure successful implementations; occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as solutions architect, solutions consultant, or sales engineer for a global software enterprise.
• 3+ years of accounting, indirect tax, or tax compliance within a technical sales organization.
• Experience with tax automation software.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering and architecture patterns.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for learning and staying up to date with indirect tax laws.
• A proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships.
• Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and thrive in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert on Stripe Tax to accelerate opportunities.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of global indirect taxes and how automated compliance solutions help online businesses meet obligations.
• Provide solutions and recommendations for Stripe Tax across B2C, B2B, and platform models.
• Conduct deep discovery to architect solutions that drive key implementation decisions and accelerate deals.
• Create and share best practices and reusable assets to enhance sales and pre-sales efficiency.
• Partner with the Tax product sales team and drive opportunities for Stripe's largest customers.
• Represent the Voice of the Customer to drive product prioritization.
• Identify trends and provide insights to product stakeholders and sales to influence Stripe's Tax roadmap.
• Act as an escalation point to resolve complex technical issues with engineering.
• Represent the business health on quarterly sales forecast calls and address blockers.
• Support marketing events including executive briefings, conferences, user groups, and trade shows.
