Job summary

BDO is seeking a Tax Manager, Digital Tax Solutions, to collaborate with clients and team members to implement tax automation tools across tax data, processes, and technology.

The role includes marketing, business development, scoping engagements from proposal to deployment, and providing training and documentation during hand-off. Occasional travel and remote collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required in Accounting, Finance, CS, Data Analytics or Technology.
• Graduate degree preferred.
• Five (5) or more years of experience with technology or tax systems.
• ASC 740 tax accounting, consulting, or income tax compliance preferred.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• CPA certification, Attorney, or EA or related analytics certifications preferred.
• Certifications: Bloomberg, Corptax, Longview, Orbitax, Thomson Reuters; analytics tools certified preferred.
• Proficient in systems like Bloomberg, Corptax, Longview, OneStream, Oracle, Thomson Reuters; familiarity with UiPath, Power Automate; ETL and visualization tools; Excel advanced.

Responsibilities

• Qualifies viability of prospective clients and identifies opportunities to expand business.
• Understands the full picture of a client’s tax functions and develops strategies aligned with objectives.
• May lead planning or project delivery meetings and training.
• Directs staff and manages client expectations and requirements.
• Estimates fees and drafts high-level scoping for proposals.
• Drafts proposals and business cases; suggests internal process improvements.
• Communicates complex technical items to non-technical audiences.
