Job summary

BDO USA seeks a Tax Manager, Digital Tax Solutions to lead tax automation initiatives, engage clients, and oversee engagements from scoping to deployment. The role blends marketing, networking and analytics to pinpoint automation opportunities across tax data, processes and technology.

Responsibilities include delivering client solutions, leading project teams, and developing training/documentation for hand-off. Some travel and collaboration across offices are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; focus in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Technology preferred.
• Graduate degree preferred.
• Five or more years of experience with technology or tax systems.
• CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice) or EA preferred.
• Experience with tax automation tools and analytics software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Qualifies viability of prospective clients or projects and identifies opportunities to expand current business.
• Understands full tax function scope and develops strategies aligned with business objectives.
• May lead planning or project delivery meetings including proposals and workshops.
• Directs staff on work plans and manages client expectations.
• Drafts proposals and business cases; supports go-live and post-implementation activities.
• Ensures project scope, budget, and timelines are followed.
