OnPay is a fast-growing SaaS payroll provider in Atlanta, offering cloud-based payroll, HR, and benefits solutions. We’re seeking a Tax Resolution Analyst (Payroll Adjustments) to analyze, reconcile, and correct complex payroll tax discrepancies across jurisdictions.

You will process adjustments (W-2c, 941-X, amended returns), perform root-cause analysis, and ensure compliance for client payrolls. A CPP/FPC is preferred, with 3–5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years dedicated experience in payroll tax, payroll auditing, or payroll tax resolution.
• Certification preferred: CPP or FPC.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Recalculate historical taxable wages, tax withholdings, deductions, and employer contributions for compliant adjustments.
• Prepare and process complex payroll adjustments and tax corrections (e.g., 941-X, W-2c).
• Reconcile gross-to-net data against tax filings to locate discrepancies.
• Perform root-cause analysis to prevent recurring notices and compliance issues.
• Maintain detailed documentation and audit trails for payroll registers and tax correspondence.
• Collaborate with internal teams to fix tax discrepancies and communicate timelines.
