Job summary

Visa is seeking a Payroll Tax Analyst in the Atlanta area to manage moderate to complex payroll tax withholding, reporting, analysis, audit and year-end activities to ensure accurate tax reporting for internal and external purposes.

The role requires expertise in state and local tax, with a focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and strong communication skills; on-site work is expected with 3 days in the office per the Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree.
• 3+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years with an Advanced Degree.
• Knowledge of multi-state payroll tax laws; Canada knowledge preferred.
• Tax analyst experience including multistate, localities and reciprocity.
• Strong attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle escalations in resolution of tax notices and discrepancies with federal, state and local agencies.
• Review and resolve payroll tax errors and retroactive tax calculations.
• Process W-2 Corrections and Reissues per IRS regulations.
• Perform quarterly and annual payroll tax balancing activities.
• Provide payroll tax support for mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
