Job summary

OnPay Insurance Agency, LLC is seeking a Tax Resolution Analyst (Payroll Adjustments) to analyze, reconcile, and correct complex payroll tax discrepancies across jurisdictions. You will process payroll adjustments such as W-2c and 941-X, and implement root-cause corrections to ensure compliant client payrolls.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in payroll tax auditing or resolution, a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, CPP or FPC preferred, and strong communication to coordinate with internal teams

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of dedicated experience in payroll tax, payroll auditing, or payroll tax resolution.
• Experience with multi-state tax adjustments or amendments.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Recalculate historical taxable wages, tax withholdings, and employer contributions for compliance.
• Prepare and process complex payroll adjustments and amended returns (e.g., 941-X, W-2c).
• Reconcile gross-to-net payroll data against tax filings to identify discrepancies.
• Perform root-cause analysis on tax errors to prevent notices.
• Maintain detailed audit trails for payroll registers and tax correspondence.
