Polished Talent Group is seeking Remote Tax Preparers to assist clients with federal and state tax returns. This remote, commission-based role offers full-time or part-time options and requires completing tax training before handling client returns.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be comfortable working independently from home. PTIN availability is necessary or obtainable, with strict confidentiality and client service standards throughout tax season.

Qualifications

• Must have an active IRS PTIN or be willing to obtain one before preparing tax returns.
• Must successfully complete required tax preparation training before preparing client returns.
• Prior tax preparation experience is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual federal and state income tax returns.
• Collect and review client-provided tax documents.
• Enter tax information accurately into professional tax preparation software.
• Review completed returns for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate with clients regarding missing or additional documentation.
• Maintain organized and accurate client records.
• Protect confidential taxpayer and financial information.
• Follow applicable IRS requirements and due diligence standards.
• Complete required training and compliance requirements.
• Maintain professional communication with clients and team members.
• Market your tax preparation services and grow your client base through networking, referrals, and community outreach.
• Build your own book of business by developing long-term relationships with returning clients.
