Job summary

Polished Talent Group is seeking Remote Tax Preparers to assist clients with preparing individual federal and state income tax returns. This is a remote, commission-based position with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. Prior tax preparation experience is preferred but not required.

Training is provided for applicants without prior experience. Responsibilities include preparing returns, collecting and reviewing documents, and ensuring accuracy while maintaining client

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
• Previous tax preparation or financial services experience is a plus but not required.
• Must have an active IRS PTIN or be willing to obtain one before preparing returns.
• Must successfully complete required tax preparation training before preparing client returns.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual federal and state income tax returns using professional tax software.
• Collect, review, and organize client tax documents.
• Verify information for accuracy and completeness before filing.
• Communicate professionally with clients throughout the tax preparation process.
• Explain the tax preparation process and request any missing documentation.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of client financial and personal information.
• Follow IRS regulations, company policies, and tax compliance requirements.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and build lasting client relationships.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
• Meet established deadlines during tax season.
• Participate in required training and continuing education.
• Market your tax preparation services and grow your client base through networking, referrals, and community outreach.
• Build your own book of business by developing long-term relationships with returning clients.
