Job summary

Polished Talent Group is seeking an experienced Remote Tax Office Manager to oversee remote tax preparation operations for the upcoming tax season. This is a remote, commission-based independent contractor role aimed at professionals with an active IRS EFIN or the ability to obtain one before starting electronic filing tasks.

Qualifications

• Active EFIN or ability to apply for IRS approval.
• Valid PTIN when preparing federal returns for compensation.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Reliable computer and internet access.
• Ability to protect confidential taxpayer information.
• Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
• Tax office, tax preparation, or team leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day remote tax preparation operations.
• Prepare and/or review individual federal and state income tax returns.
• Support tax preparers with workflow and operational questions.
• Monitor return accuracy, documentation, and completion.
• Maintain secure and confidential taxpayer information.
• Follow IRS due diligence and e-filing requirements.
• Communicate professionally with clients and tax preparers.
• Maintain organized client and tax records.
• Assist with client relationships.
