Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a hands-on Tax Manager to own pass-through tax for a growing book of small business clients. You will review and sign off on S-Corp, partnership, and LLC returns prepared by the offshore team, and prepare owners' personal returns, with direct access to leadership.

This fully remote role offers a base salary of $120,000 to $150,000, plus benefits. Ideal candidates have 3–7 years US tax experience, CPA, and strong communication with business owners.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of US tax experience (public accounting and/or private)
• Strong S-Corp and partnership compliance experience
• Experience serving small/mid-sized businesses and their owners
• Clear, practical communication with business owners
• CPA certification required

Responsibilities

• Review and sign off on federal and state pass-through returns (S-Corp 1120-S, Partnership/LLC 1065) and K-1s
• Review individual returns (1040) for business owners
• Manage multi-state filings and PTET elections
• Provide light tax advisory on entity selection, S-Corp elections, and owner compensation
• Identify opportunities to automate tax processes and scale the team
• Collaborate with bookkeeping and CFO service teams to ensure a seamless client experience
