Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a hands-on Tax Manager to own pass-through tax for growing small-business clients. You will review and sign off on S-Corp, partnership, and LLC returns prepared by offshore staff, and also review owners' personal returns, serving as a trusted advisor to business owners.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of US tax experience
• Strong S-Corp and partnership compliance
• Experience serving small and mid-sized businesses
• Able to communicate clearly with business owners
• CPA required

Responsibilities

• Review and sign federal and state pass-through returns (S-Corp 1120-S, partnership/LLC 1065) prepared by junior and offshore staff
• Review individual returns (1040) for business owners including K-1 flow-through
• Manage multi-state filings and PTET elections
• Provide light tax advisory on entity selection, S-Corp elections, reasonable compensation and distributions
• Identify opportunities to automate tax processes and scale the team
• Collaborate with bookkeeping and CFO service teams for a seamless client experience
