Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Tax Manager to lead high-level tax work while working remotely. The role focuses on reviewing work products, serving as the client liaison, and identifying opportunities to provide value-added services while supporting business development.

A CPA or EA and 5+ years of tax experience are required. As part of a mid-sized Southeast-focused firm, you’ll enjoy a collaborative environment, development opportunities, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential.
• 5+ years of tax prep and review experience.
• Strong project management, analytical, interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Self-motivated with multi-tasking and time-management skills.
• Interest in business development and expanding client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial/final review of work products for managers, tax seniors, staff and interns.
• Act as primary client contact for the firm.
• Identify opportunities for value-added services by staying informed on client needs.
• Communicate staffing/workload to Resource Planning and confirm objectives with client.
• Identify and resolve tax-technical issues to ensure compliance with tax laws.
• Coach and mentor staff to develop their skills and careers.
• Assist with developing strategies to meet client needs and cross-sell services.
• Support partner team with strategy, objectives, and budgets.
