Job summary

DIRECTV invites students to a summer internship in Tax, a remote 10-week program designed to apply your degree and analytics skills to real-world tax work. You’ll help minimize operating taxes and support cross-functional initiatives with finance, accounting, and tax teams.

Responsibilities include analyzing tax drivers, researching legislation, and performing SQL reporting from Snowflake using Power BI for storytelling. Strong Excel, PPT, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year undergraduate or advanced degree in Tax, Accounting or Finance.
• Strong numerical ability and data analytics experience.
• Comfortable presenting to leaders and collaborating cross-functionally.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; SQL experience a plus.
• Familiarity with data storytelling and BI tools like Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Work on internal tax processes and software to support the Finance organization.
• Analyze drivers of California property tax values and pending tax legislation.
• Perform SQL reporting from Snowflake and communicate insights.
