Job summary

ASK Consulting is hiring Tax Associates for a 100% remote role in the United States (must reside in USA). This seasonal, flexible part-time position supports customers through the tax filing experience, prioritizing accuracy and customer satisfaction.

You will review returns prepared by others, provide clear notes, and communicate tax outcomes in simple terms while collaborating with a team of front-office, back-office, and quality reviewers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 seasons of paid tax preparation experience.
• At least 30 completed tax returns per season.
• Valid PTIN for the 2027 filing year.
• Familiarity with Form 1040 and associated schedules.
• Strong written communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to explain tax information clearly to customers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary customer contact throughout the tax engagement.
• Review tax returns prepared by another tax professional.
• Identify potential errors or missing information and provide notes to the preparer.
• Explain tax outcomes and recommendations to customers clearly.
• Collaborate with preparers and quality-review teams to deliver a complete customer experience.
• Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions.
