Job summary

Abilene Christian University is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead full-cycle recruiting for faculty, staff, students, and leadership across ACU. The role partners with hiring managers to clarify needs, build sourcing strategies, and deliver a professional candidate experience in a centralized talent-acquisition model.

The position supports governance, onboarding, and workforce planning initiatives while driving Workday Recruiting workflows and candidate pipelines across ACU

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience with full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition in higher education or mission-driven environments.
• Experience using Workday Recruiting or other HRIS/applicant-tracking systems.
• Strong communication, interviewing, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle searches from requisition to onboarding for diverse populations (faculty, staff, students, leadership).
• Coordinate intake meetings with hiring managers and search committees to define qualifications and timelines.
• Manage postings, workflows, interview activity, and candidate documentation in Workday Recruiting.
• Coordinate compensation approvals, offers, background checks, and pre-employment steps.
• Develop scalable sourcing strategies and candidate pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill roles.
• Represent ACU at career events and engage internal stakeholders to ensure a positive candidate experience.
