Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a Systems Engineer specializing in semiconductor systems engineering. This remote role requires defining product specifications based on industry trends and customer needs, and engaging with R&D during the design phase.

Ideal candidates will have over 10 years of experience along with a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering. The position offers a competitive salary range of $150K – $250K and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of semiconductor Product Definition and/or Standardization experience.
• Direct experience with high-speed physical layer components including laser drivers, TIAs, DSPs, and equalizers.
• Experience participating in industry standardization bodies and technical working groups.

Responsibilities

• Define next-generation product specifications and features based on customer needs.
• Work closely with R&D teams throughout design and development phases.
• Prepare technical materials to support industry standardization efforts.
