TEKsystems is seeking an Expert IT Engineer to support, modernize, and optimize its enterprise technology environment. The role spans infrastructure, cloud platforms, networking, and security with hands-on leadership across hybrid environments.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot complex systems, automate tasks with PowerShell/Python, and drive reliable, scalable solutions while documenting standards and guiding junior engineers. Fully remote workplace with contract-to-hire potential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, IT Operations, cloud operations, or a related technical discipline.
• Broad technical knowledge across cloud platforms, enterprise applications, operating systems, virtualization, endpoints, and networking.
• Strong Microsoft Azure and M365 experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise systems within a distributed or remote organization.
• Experience automating technical and administrative processes through PowerShell, Python, or similar tools.
• Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Understanding of security controls, access management, vulnerability remediation, change management, and operational risk.
• Experience supporting technical migrations, implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
• Strong documentation skills and experience creating operating procedures, technical standards, and knowledge content.
• Ability to mentor technical team members and contribute to engineering standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
• Healthcare-industry experience is helpful but not required.

Responsabilités

• Design, implement, operate, maintain, and improve enterprise technology systems and infrastructure.
• Support cloud and hybrid environments, including Microsoft Azure, M365, identity services, enterprise applications, networking, endpoints, and integrated platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across infrastructure, operating systems, virtualization, networking, applications, endpoints, identity, and cloud services.
• Lead root-cause analysis and develop sustainable solutions for recurring problems.
• Automate operational and administrative tasks using PowerShell, Python, or comparable scripting and orchestration tools.
• Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements related to reliability, scalability, security, performance, and cost.
• Support technical implementations, migrations, upgrades, integrations, testing, rollout, and post-deployment stabilization.
• Partner with security teams to support access controls, vulnerability remediation, audit readiness, and secure operational practices.
• Maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, support procedures, configuration standards, and knowledge-base content.
• Support monitoring, incident response, problem management, change management, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues and deliver infrastructure and application initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other engineers and support resources.
• Evaluate new technologies and develop expertise in platforms needed by the broader IT Operations organization.
