Job summary

OCHIN, Inc. is a nonprofit health IT leader with a nationwide remote workforce.

The Systems Engineer will develop, maintain, and troubleshoot a broad set of system technologies while guiding teammates and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure reliable operations. Responsibilities include administering Windows and Linux systems, Active Directory, and automation; leading SME efforts for key platforms like Epic and Microsoft 365; participating in complex projects and driving process

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in infrastructure services implementation and administration (SQL, IIS, DNS, DHCP, GPO, CIFS).
• Minimum 3 years Azure experience required; more than 4 years preferred.
• Minimum 4+ years AWS cloud-hosting experience preferred; candidates meeting minimums will be prioritized.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Xenserver) preferred.
• Familiarity with SolarWinds Orion monitoring platform is a plus.
• Familiarity with Epic hyperspace is a plus.
• Completion of a 50–60 minute competency assessment prior to team interview.

Responsibilities

• System Administration and Infrastructure Management: operate Windows and Linux servers, maintain AD, GPO, and automation via scripting.
• SME Leadership and Technical Guidance: lead Windows, Citrix, M365, Epic hyperspace; mentor team members.
• Project and Solution Management: lead or participate in complex projects; design technical specs and roadmaps.
• Process Optimization and Automation: identify optimization opportunities; automate routine tasks.
• On-Call Support and Continuous Improvement: participate in on-call rotations and maintain documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
