Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP is seeking a Systems Engineer to support deployment, maintenance, and performance of the firm’s software applications used by attorneys and business professionals. The ideal candidate collaborates across IT teams in a fast-paced professional services environment and has strong troubleshooting and third-level support experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
3+ years of software systems implementation, upgrades, maintenance and support.
Experience with Configuration Manager, Intune, Group Policy, and related policies.
Experience administering Microsoft tech: AD/Entra ID, 365, SharePoint, Exchange Online, Windows/SQL Server, Azure VD.
PowerShell scripting and deployment experience.
Experience with NetDocuments or similar DMS, CRM, and productivity tools in a law firm.
Ability to document standard configurations and evaluate hardware upgrades.
Strong communication and customer service in a legal environment.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, deploy, monitor, and maintain on‑premises and cloud apps with IT teams.
Liaise with vendors and IT personnel to resolve issues and escalate when needed.
Monitor and respond to tickets in the ticketing system.
Package, test, and deploy line‑of‑business and legal apps (DMS, time‑and‑billing, productivity tools).
Manage the application lifecycle, including patching and version upgrades.
Provide third‑level application support for escalated tickets requiring specialized expertise.
Assist with maintaining standard images deployed to firm computers.
Maintain application documentation, including config standards and troubleshooting guides.
Monitor app performance and reliability; recommend improvements for business needs.
Support integrations between firm apps, Microsoft 365, DMS, and other platforms.
Develop and maintain scripts/automation for deployment, configuration, maintenance, and reporting.
Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to IT support teams.
Support change management with documented changes, testing results, and rollback plans.
