Job summary

General Dynamics - IT is seeking a Systems Architect to drive modernization efforts across complex enterprise applications. You will lead design discussions, produce architectural artifacts, and collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure scalable, secure solutions.

The role emphasizes cloud-enabled modernization, SDLC/Agile practices, and the ability to obtain required security clearances.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree in computer science/systems or related field.
Experience leading modernization of applications.
Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Lead solutioning discussions with customer and vendor.
Identify system interface requirements and develop architecture diagrams.
Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to align goals.
Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity and client-satisfaction goals.
Collaborate with business units to understand long-term system vision and craft implementation strategy.
Clarify requirements and propose solutions meeting milestones and drive technical implementations.
Engage customers to understand critical needs and advise on strategies to achieve results.
Identify best technical solutions to meet requirements and scale.
Lead design and development of architectural artifacts (models, diagrams, COOs, etc.).
Assist in diagnosing larger system issues and partner with PMs to meet deadlines.
Create high-level/detailed estimates and technical documentation to guide large enterprise projects.
