Job summary

Regions Financial Corporation is seeking a Systems Administrator to maintain the operating system environment under direct supervision. The role focuses on upgrades, server and workstation provisioning, backup and recovery, and regulatory compliance.

The position supports change control, licensing management, and scripting tasks with PowerShell and Bash, while working remotely from home within Regions’ footprint and traveling on-site as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical training in a related field; or a High School Diploma with four years of related experience.
• Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations and industry guidance.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize projects.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
• Knowledge of operating systems and strong analytical, problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs system software upgrades including planning, scheduling, testing, and coordination under direct supervision.
• Performs workstation and server administration setup.
• Coordinates disk space planning and management as directed.
• Maintains growth statistics, space forecasts, tape libraries, and software and hardware inventories.
• Performs data backups and recoveries.
• Monitors system software licensing and maintenance agreements.
• Maintains production change control schedule and participates in change control.
• Performs scripting as needed (i.e. Powershell and Bash).
• Ensures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices.
