Job summary

Venatre in Tampa seeks a seasoned Systems Administrator to manage Windows Server environments and AD with a focus on automation and security. You will support mission-critical IT infrastructure, implementing robust Group Policy, PKI, and remediation of vulnerabilities.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, documentation, and proactive performance tuning to ensure availability and compliance with DoD requirements.

Qualifications

• Active US Government Secret security clearance required.
• DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 certification.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation of recurring tasks.
• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory knowledge.
• Experience administering Group Policy and certificate lifecycle.
• Ability to create thorough technical documentation and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Windows Server & Domain Administration: build deploy configure and maintain Windows Server environments.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy for secure infrastructure.
• Create and manage privileged accounts and service accounts per security policy.
• Monitor and tune system performance ensuring reliability and uptime.
• Install and patch enterprise software and coordinate upgrades.
• Develop PowerShell scripts to automate routine admin tasks and monitoring.
