Job summary

Kreative Technologies is looking for a System Engineer to design, build and maintain the infrastructure our applications run on. You will keep servers, operating systems and environments secure, stable and well-documented. The ideal candidate is hands-on, systematic and focused on uptime.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of systems engineering or administration experience.
• Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Experience with virtualization or cloud platforms such as VMware, AWS or Azure.
• Scripting experience with shell, PowerShell or Python.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Continually required to use common office equipment including but not limited to computers, phones, scanners and printers.

Responsibilities

• Designs, installs and configures servers, operating systems and system software.
• Maintains development, test and production environments.
• Applies patches, updates and security hardening settings.
• Monitors system performance and resolves infrastructure issues.
• Automates system tasks and deployments with scripts and configuration tools.
• Supports backup, recovery and disaster recovery planning.
• Maintains system documentation and diagrams.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
