Job summary

North Carolina A&T State University is seeking a System Administrator for Engineering Computing to maintain the College of Engineering's computing infrastructure, provide technical support for desktops, VDI, and IoT devices, and manage related servers and applications. You will document configurations and collaborate with faculty, staff, and vendors to implement technology solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience in technical support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a technical support role with Windows, Linux, and/or macOS.
• Experience with IoT devices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot desktop systems, VDI environments, and IoT equipment.
• Support networking infrastructure and resolve connectivity issues.
• Install, test, and manage applications and server environments.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and vendors to implement technology solutions.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
