Job summary

AHU Technologies Inc. is seeking qualified Swiss CNC Machine Operators to set up and operate Tsugami CNC Swiss lathes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Valley City, Ohio. The role involves reading/editing CNC programs, inspecting parts, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Openings are on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts with shift premium where applicable; onsite work and strong attention to detail are required to meet customer specifications and production targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of related CNC machining experience and/or equivalent education and training.
• Previous experience operating Swiss CNC machines is required.
• Experience setting up and operating Tsugami CNC Swiss lathes is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong understanding of CNC programming, including program formatting and editing.
• Ability to use precision inspection gauges and measuring equipment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Tsugami CNC Swiss lathes.
• Monitor equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Read, understand, format, and edit CNC programs as required.
• Inspect first pieces and obtain approval before beginning production.
• Perform in-process inspections according to established procedures, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and depth micrometers.
• Make general decisions regarding quality, tolerances, and sequence of operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve routine and selected non-routine production or equipment issues.
• Complete secondary operations as required.
• Perform daily maintenance checks on assigned equipment.
• Exercise proper care when using tools, equipment, and materials.
• Identify and report faulty equipment, defective materials, improper operations, and unusual conditions to supervision.
• Maintain accurate and timely production records and reports.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and internal teams.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
• Complete assignments efficiently while meeting quality and customer expectations.
