Job summary

Merck's Animal Health organization is seeking a Territory Manager to drive growth across a multi-state region, engaging key decision makers and tailoring discussions to customer needs. You will partner with account teams and distributors to grow sales of our Animal Health products and services.

The role requires 75% travel within the territory, relocation assistance, and a strong focus on swine sales, data-driven decision making, and collaborative execution with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: HS diploma with 12 years of Animal Health sales experience, OR Bachelor's with 8 years of Animal Health sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Motivated, data-driven with ability to resolve customer issues using analytic tools.
• Ability to work independently and with a team; travel overnight and some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Communicate product value in meaningful, customer-specific discussions.
• Own as the primary contact for assigned customers and meet decision makers.
• Develop customer strategy and territory/account plans with partners.
• Collaborate across species teams to strengthen product portfolio knowledge.
• Analyze monthly sales results and manage expenses per budget.
• Identify programs and resources to address customer needs with education and training.
• Deliver offerings addressing customer needs in collaboration with leadership.
