Job summary

World Business Lenders seeks an executive to lead the Asset Resolution Department, directing nationwide default litigation and other recovery strategies for non-performing commercial loans secured by real estate. You will oversee counsel teams, outside firms, and budgeting while aligning with company objectives.

Role requires a JD, 10+ years in multi-state foreclosure and bankruptcy matters, and a track record of strategic leadership, data-driven reporting, and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• Must hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school and maintain an active license in good standing.
• 10+ years of substantive legal experience overseeing multi-state foreclosure and default litigation, with knowledge of state procedures, lien priority, title issues and creditor/debtor laws.

Responsibilities

• Lead nationwide default litigation and other legal recovery strategies for non-performing, real estate-secured commercial loans.
• Oversee Asset Resolution counsel and manage relationships with outside law firms, budgets, and invoices.
• Manage an active portfolio of ~342 Asset Resolution cases with ~35 matters per counsel; set strategy and ensure consistent execution.
• Develop executive reporting and portfolio analytics to track recoveries, expenditures, aging, and trends.
• Establish policies, performance metrics, and accountability standards to improve efficiency and risk management.
• Advance workflow automation and standardization to scale portfolio growth while maintaining legal oversight.
