Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Sustainable Agriculture Consultant to advise agricultural producers on environmentally sound and economically viable farming practices from a home office. You will guide farmers in adopting practices that conserve resources, enhance biodiversity, and improve soil health nationwide.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Sustainable Agriculture, Environmental Science, Agronomy, or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in sustainable agriculture or environmental consulting.
Knowledge of organic farming, agroecology, and conservation practices.
Experience with environmental impact assessments and sustainability reporting.
Excellent remote communication and report writing skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and recommend sustainable farming strategies, including organic methods, water conservation, and soil health improvement.
Assess current farming practices and advise on transitioning to sustainable models.
Educate farmers on biodiversity enhancement and ecosystem protection.
Assist clients in navigating certifications (organic, fair trade, etc.).
Monitor and report on environmental impact and economic benefits.
Stay current with global trends, research, and policy developments.
