Placements24 is seeking a Senior Agronomist specialized in Precision Farming to advise farmers on optimizing crop production using advanced technologies. The role combines field visits with remote analysis to improve yield, conserve resources, and promote sustainable farming.

The successful candidate will conduct soil analyses, implement variable-rate fertilization, and leverage GPS, drone imagery, and sensor data to monitor crops.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years in agronomy with at least 3 years in precision farming.
• Strong experience with farm management software, GIS, and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct soil analysis, crop scouting, and field assessments for pest and nutrient needs.
• Design and implement precision agriculture strategies including variable rate applications.
• Use GPS, drone imagery, and sensors to monitor crop health and allocate resources.
• Provide training to farmers on precision farming tools and techniques.
• Analyze farm data to identify trends and recommend efficiency improvements.
