Job summary

Bausch & Lomb GmbH is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity leader for Surgical R&D to embed secure‑by‑design across the product lifecycle and partner with engineering, quality, regulatory, and corporate security teams.

You will drive threat modeling, vulnerability management, and security testing (SAST/DAST/SCA), oversee SBOMs, and ensure compliance with FDA/IEC standards for medical devices. This remote US role offers a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, cybersecurity or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years in product security, medical device cybersecurity or software security within a regulated environment.
• Experience supporting or leading cybersecurity activities for medical devices or regulated products.
• Strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate technical cybersecurity risks into actionable guidance for engineering, quality, and regulatory stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement a scalable cybersecurity strategy across surgical capital equipment product lines.
• Embed secure-by-design principles throughout the product lifecycle and provide guidance on secure architecture, threat modeling, design controls, cryptography, and secure communication protocols.
• Lead cybersecurity requirements across development programs, aligning with regulatory expectations and corporate standards.
• Coordinate vulnerability management activities from intake to closure and document product security issues.
• Serve as the Surgical R&D cybersecurity representative for vulnerability disclosure and incident response activities.
• Partner with engineering to implement security testing practices (SAST, DAST, SCA, pen testing) in development pipelines.
• Support supplier and third-party security initiatives by defining security requirements and SBOM processes.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, IT, and Corporate Product Security to ensure cybersecurity regulatory compliance.
