Job summary

Solventum seeks a Principal Cybersecurity Assurance Engineer to lead cyber risk management across medical device products. You will drive threat modeling, SBOMs, risk reports and ensure compliance with FDA/EU standards while collaborating with hardware, software, QA, and regulatory teams.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate audits, and support continual improvement in cybersecurity practices, reporting to senior leadership and ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher and eight (8) years of cybersecurity experience in medical devices.
• Experience with embedded systems, IoT, Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, or cellular tech.
• Experience applying premarket/postmarket medical device regulations and standards.
• Ability to lead threat modeling and vulnerability assessments for embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity assurance activities across the product life cycle.
• Develop risk management plans, threat modeling, SBOMs, and tests.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and raise critical issues to management.
• Mentor and coach other cybersecurity engineers.
