Job summary

Bausch + Lomb is seeking a Surgical Account Manager to promote and sell our surgical device portfolio across assigned accounts in a remote field-based role. You will engage ophthalmic surgeons and staff, deliver clinical education, and drive growth through strategic sales activities including product demos and proposals.

The position requires 3+ years of outside sales in ophthalmic or medical devices, strong CRM and MS Office skills, and the ability to operate remotely with significant travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of outside sales in ophthalmic or medical devices.
• Experience in surgical environments preferred.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote field-based role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed territory sales objectives through product demonstrations, proposals, and in-services.
• Generate leads, develop sales proposals, and manage post-sale evaluations.
• Protect and grow core consumable business through equipment conversions and product/service/tech innovations.
• Conduct competitive market analysis to identify new opportunities.
• Serve as primary liaison for hospitals, ASCs, teaching institutions, and buyers.
• Build relationships with key opinion leaders and high-volume users.
• Coordinate surgical evaluations and provide technical support during procedures.
