Job summary

USI Insurance Services seeks a Commercial Lines Surety specialist to manage and retain assigned client accounts. You will handle bond submissions, underwriting coordination, and carrier communications, ensuring continuous coverage and client satisfaction.

Role supports proactive client service, retention targets, and collaboration with Sales Executives. Remote work is available with occasional travel to local offices if needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Commercial Property & Casualty Surety experience in an insurance agency.
• College degree preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of Surety coverages, underwriting, and rating concepts.
• Knowledge of bonds, bond market selection, and bond issuance.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain Property & Casualty license within one year of hire.
• Must have notary license or willing to obtain within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive, personalized support to assigned Commercial Lines Surety clients and maintain high retention.
• Handle all aspects of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty insurance related to Surety, including bond submissions.
• Facilitate client signings, underwriting processes, and carrier communication.
• Provide technical expertise to Sales and Account Executives during the sales process.
• Capture and manage the service platform and client requests.
• Manage renewal expirations to avoid lapses in coverage.
• Delegated administrative tasks to Account Representatives and respond to underwriters’ questions.
