USI Insurance Services is seeking a Commercial Lines Surety Account Manager to manage client accounts, facilitate bond processes, and coordinate with carriers. The role supports retention targets and cross-sell opportunities while maintaining detailed client records. Notary and P/C licenses are required or pursued within one year.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Commercial Property & Casualty Surety experience in an insurance Agency.
• College degree preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of Surety coverages, underwriting, and rating concepts.
• Knowledge of bonds, bond market selection, and bond issuance required.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain Property & Casualty license.
• Must have notary license or willing to obtain within one year of hire.
• Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office.
• Sagitta/ImageRight knowledge preferred but not required.
• Ability to carry out complex tasks with many variables.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive, personalized support to assigned Commercial Lines Surety clients. Maintain 92% retention of client accounts.
• Handle all aspects of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty insurance as related to Surety.
• Facilitate client signing of indemnity agreements, underwriting process of bond requests, and carrier-client communication.
• Seek carrier approval for bonds outside lines of authority.
• Issue bonds, riders, endorsements, and consents.
• Provide insurance technical expertise to Sales and Account Executives during the sales process.
• Support cross-selling opportunities, account development, and client requests.
• Capture, assist, design, and manage the service platform.
• Inform and participate in client strategy meetings.
• Manage renewal expirations to avoid coverage lapses.
• Market bond submissions to carriers; ensure timely approvals and delivery.
• Delegate administrative tasks to Account Representatives.
• Respond to underwriters’ questions promptly and professionally.
• Adhere to Surety Best Practices and maintain proper documentation.
• Maintain agency management system accuracy and up-to-date files.
• Maintain underwriting e-files and request information as needed.
• Occasional in-person attendance at client meetings.
• Stay informed on surety coverages, products, and industry changes.
