Job summary

Tephra Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Consultant to support clients across the United States in strategy, demand and supply planning, and logistics. You will partner with delivery and consulting teams to translate complex concepts into practical solutions.

The role emphasizes engagement leadership, market insight, and the ability to guide clients through technology-enabled improvements while traveling up to 75% as needed.

Qualifications

• A passion for working in customer facing roles.
• Great interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, production planning, demand management industry role and/or business software consulting role.
• MBA or BS/MS/PhD in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field with an excellent academic record.
• Background in Supply Chain engineering concepts and understanding of statistical forecasting, inventory management, MRP, scheduling, transportation, warehousing.
• Familiarity with mainstream technologies such as SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, Anaplan or similar platforms.
• Self-direction with ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment, working independently and remotely with people at all levels in an organization.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and tackle complex business situations in Demand and Supply Planning, designing and implementing solutions that can demonstrate benefits and value.
• Execute breakthrough domain consulting engagements.
• Participate in deep-dive process design & discovery sessions to understand business needs.
• Understand market trends, risks and opportunities, to help provide insights to clients.
• Support entire sales cycles -- business development, proposal development, pre-sales etc. - as well as delivery of strategy and technology projects.
• On technology delivery projects, support clients through the project life cycle from initial pitch through to solution design and activity planning, successful delivery, and knowledge capture.
• Communicate potential solutions and outcomes to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure the client is obtaining the business benefits from the engagement.
