Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Supply Chain and Logistics Engineer to optimize the flow of goods, improve warehouse efficiency, and streamline transportation networks from a fully remote setup in the United States. You will design innovative solutions using analytics, simulation tools, and best practices across global teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, OR or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in supply chain engineering or logistics.
• Experience in network design and transportation management.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize all aspects of the supply chain, including inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.
• Design and implement efficient logistics networks and operational layouts.
• Develop and utilize supply chain modeling and simulation tools to test different scenarios and optimize performance.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve delivery times, and enhance service levels.
• Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless flow of goods.
• Develop and maintain performance metrics (KPIs) for supply chain operations.
• Implement best practices in areas such as demand forecasting, inventory control, and warehouse management.
• Manage and oversee the implementation of new supply chain technology and systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
