Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for aerospace and defense programs. This remote, West Coast–based position travels up to 75% to supplier locations and partners with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Operations to assure supplier quality from qualification through root-cause resolution.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in aerospace SQE, AS9100/AS9102, GD&T, and hands-on precision manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of Supplier Quality Engineering experience in aerospace/defense.

Responsibilities

• Qualify, evaluate, and manage suppliers supporting complex aerospace programs.
• Conduct on-site supplier audits, process assessments, capability reviews, and surveillance.
• Verify compliance with AS9100/AS9102 and engineering specifications.
• Review and approve FAI per AS9102 and manage MRB activities.
• Lead RCAs using 8D, 5-Whys, and Fishbone analysis; drive CAPAs.
• Provide guidance on CNC machining, coatings, surface finishing, and GD&T.
• Travel up to 75% to supplier locations and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
