Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Supplier Development Lead to live in the Los Angeles area, working with local suppliers to achieve platinum level performance. The role combines training, coaching, and hands-on problem solving to improve quality, delivery, and lean execution.

The position emphasizes on-site supplier engagement, action planning, and close collaboration with PW teams to reduce risk and drive long-term improvements. Remote work is possible for portions of the week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or Advanced Degree with minimum 5 years experience
• U.S. Citizenship is required to access certain systems and sites
• Reside in the Los Angeles, CA area

Responsibilities

• On-site at supplier ~80% of time in the Los Angeles area
• 20% time working from home office
• Perform assessments of supplier capability and SHA to close gaps to gold level
• Develop action plans (SCIP) to reach gold level and track progress
• Stabilize production demands and identify root causes of misses
• Lead and coach supplier teams on lean manufacturing and problem solving
• Coordinate with PW purchasing for production stability and scheduling
• Establish leading performance indicators and monitor weekly
• Expedite deliveries and resolve quality issues as needed
