State Farm is offering a Summer Internship in the Property & Casualty Claims department in Minneapolis. The program targets sophomores, juniors, and seniors who graduate in December 2027, May 2028, or May 2029, with potential extension across two summers.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning in claim investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and policy application. You will work with experienced claims professionals on both residential and commercial property claims, learn inspection methods,

Qualifications

• Students majoring in Business, Risk Management/Insurance, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Construction Management, Property Management — or other majors that align with our Claims’ business needs.

Responsibilities

• Build claim-handling skills, including investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and policy application.
• Work alongside experienced claims professionals on property claims, including fire-related and weather-related losses.
• Learn to inspect residential and commercial properties.
• Develop safe field-inspection practices and use appropriate equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
