Job summary

Groups is seeking a Part-Time Substance Use Counselor to lead six one-hour group sessions weekly from a remote location. You’ll work with a member-centered care team and use a structured, evidence-based curriculum to support recovery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, Virginia licensure (or reciprocity eligibility), at least two years guiding groups in SUD settings, and proficiency with EMR/Telehealth tools. Availability 2–3 evenings per week is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Virginia behavioral health licensure or eligibility for reciprocity.
• Minimum two years’ leading groups in a SUD setting.
• Comfort with EMR, Telehealth software, and Google products.
• Compassion, collaboration and commitment to quality care.
• Ability to work 2–3 evenings per week up to 9pm.

Responsibilities

• Lead 6 one-hour group therapy sessions weekly using a structured, evidence-based curriculum.
• Facilitate group discussions using a plug-and-play approach within clinical guidelines.
• Collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches.
• Monitor member progress and document outcomes.
• Support a positive, recovery-oriented environment for members.
• Engage in local community outreach to promote Groups’ mission.
