Job summary

Leidos Inc. seeks a Substation Protection & Controls Engineer to design protection and control projects for electric utilities at 12kV–500kV. You will work within a diverse team and interface with clients nationwide, applying digital logic and circuit knowledge to deliver robust solutions.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 2+ years of related substation design/field testing experience and strong CAD skills. Occasional travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field with 2+ years' substation protection and control design/field testing experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with internal teams and clients to meet project needs.
• Ability to read and design substation protection and control drawings (one-line, three-line, AC/DC schematics) and wiring design.

Responsibilities

• Design substation protection and control projects for electric utilities from 12kV to 500kV.
• Lead project lifecycle from scoping to final design and implementation, including construction support.
• Collaborate with designers, CAD technicians, and clients to meet design criteria and project schedules.
