Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking a Principal Engineer-Substation for a remote role with travel to Juno Beach, FL. This 1-year contract assignment involves managing internal substation projects from conception to commissioning, including development from Early Stage to Execution.

In the conceptual phase you’ll support engineering requirements with the Development Group, and projects may begin as FERC 1000 proposals or greenfield initiatives. Travel within North America is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master of Science or equivalent.
• 11+ years of experience in Substation design and engineering of High Voltage substation projects.
• Project Engineering and Project Management experience.
• Travel required within North America.

Responsibilities

• Conduct project meetings and track/ analyse project progress.
• Coordinate with suppliers and ISC Group to secure resources and bids.
• Develop substation design documents and drawings through IFC.
• Support engineering updates, interconnection studies and ISO-compliant design.
