Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Substation Engineer with a specialization in physical substation design. The position supports power delivery engineering and can be remote or office-based at AECOM locations in the US.

Ideal candidates have a BS in electrical engineering, 2 years of related experience, EIT, and experience with AutoCAD or Microstation. Preference for PE license within 2 years and familiarity with NEC/standards.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Experience with high voltage substation design is required.
EIT certification is required or demonstrated equivalency in education/experience.
Proficiency with AutoCAD or Bentley Microstation is required.

Responsibilities

Performs specific portions of broader engineering assignments.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering tasks including calculations and tests.
Proposes approaches to new problems and guides entry-level engineers.
