Job summary

MasTec Renewables is seeking a Project Subcontracts Specialist to administer and manage subcontract agreements on utility-scale solar or wind projects. You will act as the primary commercial contact for subcontractors, coordinating with Project Management, Construction, Procurement, Commercial, and Legal teams.

This role is site-based or remote with 50% travel, ensuring compliance, change orders, risk mitigation, and timely closeout. Strong negotiation and EPC project experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM, business, engineering or related field.
• Five+ years of experience administering construction subcontracts on large projects.
• Three+ years of field-based contract management experience.
• Experience with Procore, Viewpoint Vista, Oracle or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer subcontract agreements for utility-scale solar or wind projects.
• Serve as the primary onsite commercial representative for subcontractors.
• Monitor compliance with contractual obligations, scope, schedule and terms.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Draft and issue contract notices for performance issues and scope changes.
• Lead change order processes and quantify cost impacts.
• Track commercial performance, earned value and claims.
• Lead commercial meetings with subcontractors.
