Job summary

MasTec Renewables is seeking a Project Subcontracts Specialist to manage onsite subcontract agreements for utility-scale solar and wind projects. You will be the primary commercial contact for subcontractors, coordinating with Project Management, Construction, Procurement, Commercial, and Legal teams to ensure compliance and timely performance.

This project-site based role offers remote or office work in Dallas, Fargo, Indianapolis, or Phoenix with 50% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five+ years of experience administering construction subcontracts on large industrial, energy, infrastructure, renewable energy, or EPC projects.
• Three+ years of field-based or project-site contract/subcontract management experience.
• Experience supporting utility-scale renewable energy projects preferred.
• Experience using Procore, Viewpoint Vista, Oracle, or similar construction management systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer subcontract agreements for utility-scale solar or wind construction projects from mobilization through project closeout.
• Serve as the primary onsite commercial representative for subcontractors on the project.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with contractual obligations, scope requirements, schedule milestones, and terms.
• Draft, review, and issue contractual notices related to performance deficiencies, delays, disruptions, safety violations, scope changes, and other contract matters.
• Lead commercial meetings with subcontractors to review contract compliance, progress, issues, and risk mitigation actions.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Commercial, Legal, and Project Controls teams to ensure consistent contract administration practices.
• Assist project leadership in identifying and mitigating contractual and commercial risks.
