Job summary

Giga Energy, a remote-first company building AI data centers, seeks a Buyer to own subcontract packages for multiple projects across the US. You will run RFPs, level bids, and award decisions, coordinating with Engineering, Construction, and Legal to ensure scope clarity and timely execution.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in construction procurement, strong vendor networks, and experience with NetSuite or similar ERP.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction procurement or subcontract buying, running competitive bids from RFP to award.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and scopes of work, and to find gaps or conflicts before award.
• Experience leveling bids and writing award recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Own subcontract packages from request to award and manage bids.
• Prepare RFPs with Engineering and Construction; check scope for gaps.
• Build bidder lists, run pre-bid meetings, manage bidder questions and addenda.
• Level bids on a common basis and write the award recommendations (price, schedule, risk).
• Negotiate commercial terms and prepare packages for Legal review and signature.
• Stand up subcontract procurement for new sites as Giga adds projects.
