Job summary

Giga Energy Inc. is seeking a Buyer, Construction Subcontracts for data center projects. You will own subcontract packages from request to award, work with Engineering and Construction to ensure complete scopes, and manage vendor relationships using an AI-native procurement platform.

This is a remote role with about 20% travel, preferring candidates in Texas and across the US. You will coordinate with Legal on terms, prepare work orders, and drive commercial outcomes including scope, price,

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction procurement or subcontract buying.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, and scopes for gaps.
• Experience leveling bids and writing award recommendations.
• Knowledge of subcontracts, COs, insurance, bonds, retention.
• Strong vendor relationships and proactive follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and bidding: own packages from request to award for civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and fire protection trades.
• Prepare requests for proposal, level bids, and write award recommendations.
• Negotiate terms and prepare work orders under master services agreements.
• Manage post‑award kickoff, track performance, and maintain vendor pool.
• Scale procurement for new sites and improve templates and tools.
