Job summary

Folia Materials is seeking a mid-career Packaging Engineer to design structural paper packaging for production. You will deliver production-ready CAD files and parametric models while working with on-site teams handling prototyping and assembly at our facility.

The role emphasizes design for manufacturing, material yield optimization, and clear asynchronous handoffs with remote teams across time zones.

Qualifications

• Proven experience drafting dielines in ArtiosCAD.
• Strong understanding of paperboard, folding cartons, and corrugated board.
• Background in Industrial Design or Packaging Engineering.
• 3–7+ years of hands-on structural packaging design for manufacturing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for async collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Create production-ready structural CAD files and dielines using ArtiosCAD.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) to optimize material yield and production constraints.
• Produce SOPs, technical spec sheets, fold sequences, and assembly guides.
• Coordinate asynchronously with product managers, production teams, and on-site staff.
