Job summary

Korpack is seeking a Packaging Design Engineer to design and prototype corrugated, protective, and retail-ready packaging. You will support sales with redesigns, sustainability, and cost-reduction initiatives from concept to Acumatica setup and first production run.

The role requires proficiency in ArtiosCAD and Adobe Illustrator, strong data analysis, and the ability to communicate designs clearly to customers. Occasional travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Design.
• 2+ years of packaging design experience in corrugated, protective, or industrial packaging.
• Proficiency in ArtiosCAD and Adobe Illustrator
• Advanced Excel skills for cost and yield analysis
• Ability to read/write English and solve problems using math
• Valid driver's license and travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Design custom corrugated, foam, and protective packaging in ArtiosCAD and Illustrator; produce 3D renderings, dielines, and specs for customers.
• Build and test physical prototypes; coordinate ISTA/ASTM transit testing and document results.
• Create new items in Acumatica with complete specs; maintain item accuracy over life.
• Develop cost estimates and material yields; work with Purchasing and Sales on quotes and margins.
• Lead packaging redesign, right-sizing, material reduction, and sustainability projects; quantify savings.
• Assist with customer site visits, line audits, and recommend packaging/automation improvements.
